Reform Party Wins Parliament Elections

According to Estonian National Electoral Committee, seats in Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu) were awarded to following parties: Reform Party – 33 seats, Centre Party – 26 seats, IRL – 23 seats and Social Democrats – 19 seats.

In terms of points, the Reform Party scored 28.6 percent of the votes; Centre party 23.23, IRL 20.5 and Social Democrats 17.1 percent. Only these four parties were elected to Parliament. For the Reform Party, the victory is indeed impressive considering the fact that Reform was the party to head the coalition during the years of crisis when some decisive action needed to be taken in order to keep the country from falling into deep deficit.
