Seaplane Harbor a Grand Project for Creatum

Creatum’s contributed to one of the most extraordinary museums in Northern Europe by managing all museum texts. Creatum wrote and edited texts for expositions and multimedia exhibits. Additionally, Creatum managed translations to English and Russian and created some of the internal graphic design. During two years, Creatum processed approximately 800 pages of original texts.

Seaplane Harbor was opened with a grand VIP reception on May 11 at 7 PM. 2,000 guests enjoyed a spectacular performance, directed by Mart Koldits, which combined Tõnu Kaljuste’s chamber choir and theatrical elements. The museum was opened to visitors in the next morning. In total 11,200 tickets were sold during the 33-hour opening marathon, and this equals the number of people living in Haapsalu.

Seaplane Harbor features shell concrete hangars, which were built during the WWI in 1916-1917 as part of Peter the Great’s naval fortress. These unique hangars demonstrate engineering 20 years ahead of its time. Read more at: lennusadam.eu/en
