Creatum is especially delighted about this news because several of Creatum team members and dedicated fans of Saab and thus willing to make an extra effort to support revival of the legendary brand together with Dutch supercar maker Spyker, Saab’s new owner.
According to AMTEL’s statistics, November sales of the new Saab 9-5 outperformed its main competitors in its class (BMW, MB, Audi). Moreover, two Opel models (Astra and Meriva) won the title Car of the Year.

Joint offer made by Creatum and Idea made a three-year contract for advertising services with EAS. Creatum and Idea will be running ad campaigns to introduce Estonia in many countries around the world.
Creatum and Idea competed against leading Estonian agencies in one of the largest procurements of the year and came first with their joint offer.
DDB and Der Tank became second contractual partners of EAS. Kontuur Leo Burnett contested the results of procurement several times without success – Complaint Commission at Ministry of Finance rejected the complaint and also court said that the case did not have merits.

University of Tartu acknowledged Narve College’s new marketing strategy and principles with an internal award. Concept “Vaimne eliit” (“Metal Élite”) created in cooperation with Creatum resulted in record amount of applications this summer. The concept and message strategy was based on realistic view on competition in Estonia’s higher education market for the coming years.

In October, Creatum welcomed a new member – marketing communication strategist Birjo Kiik. Birjo has worked in Swedbank as a marketing manager in different divisions, in Valior as sales and marketing director and for the past three years she has been managing director of advertising agency Idea. Birjo has a bachelor’s degree in business studies from University of Tartu specializing in business solutions and marketing and master’s degree summa cum laude from EBS specializing in business consultancy.
Birjo has consulted many Estonian and international corporations and has helped to create several financial products which were revolutionary in Baltic States at the time – Duokonto, Trump (later became Ego), etc.· In Swedbank, Birjo created a process for segmenting customer groups.
Later, this was used as a base of the bank’s marketing concept and awarded with Team of the Year title.
In addition to providing strategic and tactical consultancy, Birjo views her mission in Estonia’s advertising market mainly in three areas: 1) setting a more precise target before shooting will give a remarkable financial benefit already in one year – plan or die! 2) Estonia’s economy needs creators reading Äripäev more than mystics.
3) Estonian agency can build competence to provide necessary input for companies who want to operate abroad. Extending operations abroad does not necessarily mean using an expensive foreign agency for all activities – large amount of work can be done here, in Estonia.

Tallinn Environmental Board wants to focus on environmental recycling as a whole concept with this years’ Prügihunt (Wastewolf) campaign. According to the client, solution created by Creatum was bold and creative and also very well thought-out in terms of the tactical plan.

The goal for the campaign starting in 2011 is to launch new name for Eesti Krediidiinfo – Experian.
Creatum competed against well-known agencies Division and Dreamers and won the bid due to a detailed strategic plan and deep understanding of actual needs of the customer.
Krediidiinfo AS is the market leader in the Baltic States in the field of collecting, processing and mediating financial information. Krediidinfo’s market share in Estonia is 89%. Krediidiinfo has more than 16,000 customers in Estonia and abroad.

Concept “Vaimne eliit” (“Metal Élite”) created in cooperation with Creatum was very successful – University of Tartu Narva College received record amount of applications this summer. 167 people submitted applications and 84 of them were admitted to study programs financed by state. Number of state students increased by 120% compared to last year. 30 people were admitted to master’s studies. In total, UT Narva College received 175 new students which clearly exceed the goal of 150 students.

New stage of the image campaign created for Estonian Defense Forces called “Vapruse kutse”(Call for Bravery) was dedicated to profession of a military officer. Image campaign and active drafting by Defense College resulted in exceptionally high number of candidates – four people competed for one position. Arco Vara and Creatum began cooperation in the spring of 2010 with a new and significant real estate development – Kodukolde project was repositioned to meet changed needs of the market and target group.
The effort resulted in a website www.kodukolde.ee – we created a brand new look and added interactive features.
Also, within the frame of the repositioning campaign, Creatum made outdoor advertisements and web banners.
Excellent results of the campaign brought back memories from times before the ‘big real estate boom’ even for real estate market analysts: by the time the cornerstone of the building was set, 36% of apartments were already sold or reserved even though first 50 apartments will be ready only in spring of 2011.
On August 17th, cornerstone for the 100 new Kodukolde homes was set by Edgar Savisaar, mayor of Tallinn, Richard Tomingas, Member of the Council at Arco Vara, Veiko Taevere, Head of Development Division at Arco Vara, Tiit Roben Chairman of the Management Board at Arco Vara and Kalle Vellevoog, arhitect. Veiko Taevere, Head of Development Division at Arco Vara, noted in his speech that changed market situation and new expectations of inhabitants demanded reengineering of the buildings.

Several well-known Estonian ad agencies took part in this public procurement. Creatum LLC solution was decided to be the best because of modern and powerful graphical concept. New building of Pärnu Vocational Education Center is one of the largest investments in schools and study centers in 2010.
Architects of the building come from FH Arhitektid – Margus Reinberg and Mari Efros.

Ministry of Finance arranged public procurement for advertisement and communication campaign for transition to Euro in 2011. This campaign was one of the most wide spread and significant procurements in 2010 as all large and well-known Estonian agencies participated in the bid. Collective proposal of Creatum and AD Idea received highest scores in segments of creative concept and plan of action (which made up 60% of the total score) from bicameral panel. However, procurement was won by AS Age that gained the highest score by offering the lowest price.
Creatum could not accept this course of action and filed a complaint to Complaint Commission at Public Procurement Office. The result was challenge by Der Tank as well. Creatum’s complaint was accepted.

Creatum presented two concepts for one of the most important public procurements in 2010 – finding an advertising partner for project “Tallinn – European Capital of Culture 2011”. These concepts were awarded with second and third place while first prize was given to OÜ Midfield – a one-man company that has previously arranged ad campaigns for The Centre Party of Estonia.
Creatum participated in the procurement with AS Idea and provided creative solutions. Tallinn City Council started discussions about purchasing Creatum’s ideas after the procurement.

Mercell is the largest sourcing environment in North-Europe, founded in Norway in1999. In 2001, it expanded to Denmark and Sweden and in 2007 to the Baltics. By today, Mercell employs a total of 120 persons in 7 countries. In Norway and Denmark Mercell’s sourcing environment is used on a state level at the performing of state procurements. In May, Creatum launched work with analysis process and other inputs for the developing of Nordea Bank positioning. Jüri Jegorov will start in Creatum in the position of a Senior AD, hence taking care of the visual side of the company. Until presently Jüri worked as an AD of EPL Disain, earlier he has worked for many years as a leading AD in advertising agencies Sacco & Vanzetti and Vanzetti. His portfolio includes many large brands from Estonia as well as the wide world.
Jüri has graduated from Estonian Academy of Arts, organized personal exhibitions and designed many beautiful books. His works have been awarded at the Golden Egg Competition.

Kredex was founded in 2001 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications with the goal to improve financing possibilities of small and medium-sized companies, manage export related credit risks, enable people to build or renovate their homes and develop an energy saving way of thinking.

The launch of Creatum has proved successful as expected. The company was very successful in the agency procurement competition winning even 70% of the participated competitions.
The company is especially proud of becoming a strategic partner of Estonian Defense Forces and winning several clients of strategic weight. As a result of the half-year it can be recognized: analytical approach is something very much needed by Estonian companies and the public. The worse the times, the more so. A project new for Creatum is actually a continuation of communications related cooperation of Igor Baturin, one company founder and partner, with Estonia’s largest right wing party starting in 2001. The challenges of the coming year include a strong result in the elections of Euro parliament and Local Government Councils.
In addition to strategic communication, Creatum also deals with direct marketing counseling. Kontuur Leo Burnett will continue as the main agency of the party.

Creatum’s idea was declared best in an extensive three-stage procurement of a strategic communications partner, which was conducted by the recruitment center of Estonian Defense Forces. In the victory of the concept “Call of Life” in addition to the idea systematicism, thoroughness and grasp of the approach became the determining factors.

Creatum’s idea paraphrasing “Fools of Fame” proved to be victorious in the procurement organized by Tallinn City Government for the finding of the communications partner. The objective of the campaign is to increase the awareness of town people of waste handling and use of waste stations.
The campaign will start soon on TV, radio, in public transport and outside media.
